We’ve finally moved into our new pad.
The new rooms on the corner of Rutherford & Bridge are up and running. This week we opened the doors and were excited to see so many old and new faces. Our very exciting first auction at our new premises will be this Saturday 7th April at 11am, with doors opening for viewing from 10am and the much anticipated Antique and Collectable Auction, with stunning estate lots from Blenheim and Central Nelson on offer. Keep an eye out later this week for our catalogue popping up in your inbox.
Philosophy of the week:
Ok, not so much a philosophy, more of a “wtf, is this a thing, again!” ...Easter Tuesday. What! So, if you have kids or work in education, it’s likely you know what I’m talking about. However, like me, you probably have no idea why we have it. For those that don’t, primary through to high school have an extra day off over Easter and despite being a teacher for the last 4 years and having school aged kids, I still don’t get it. I’m just grateful I don’t need to ask my boss for an extra day off a couple of weeks before term ends.
But that’s not all we’ve been up to:
The last few months have been jam packed with birthdays, anniversaries, holidays... Miss 6 turned 7 and the boy is now 9 ... which means makes me 39, eek, I’ll be planning the “big 40” soon.
Lenny was asked by Clifton Terrace School to assist Mr Wemyss in calling their famous charity auction at the fabulous Tea By The Sea fundraiser. Lenny had a blast, he’s super passionate about supporting our schools - next time you’re having a fundraiser, hit him up for a hand, he’d totally be down with it.
This week's teaser:
Omg, so much pretty, pretty stuff. If you’ve not checked out our gallery or popped in to our new place. Then do it, this week. We have so many stunning pieces, my fave is probably the Royal Worcester Nautilus vase. Last time I saw one, it sold for $500.. it’ll be interesting to see how this one fares.
Don’t forget we now have an online absentee option. So if you can’t make it in, but you just have to have that Georgian dining suite, head to our website, fill in the form and place your bid. It’s pretty similar to in house and we’ll call or text you after the auction if you’ve won.. easy please, lemon squeezey!
Tall Poppy stuff:
Lenny has been busting it in the real estate world too. He’s just signed up an offer on a fabulous property on Springlea Heights, complete with stunning view and olive grove - looking forward to visiting after olive season.. I mean, after they’ve settled in, of course.
He also has a fabulous, enormous and rather dashing property on Arapiki Rd available. So if you’re keen on trees, swimming pools and peaceful, bush-Iike lifestyles, give Lenny a call to view.
